Chrysler is a classic American brand dating back to the 1920s, whose storied models over the years have included the 300 series, New Yorker, and Fifth Avenue. Historically, the marque has been positioned between mainstream and luxury brands. But while the Chrysler corporation is a big global force — paired with Fiat, it also controls Jeep, Dodge, Alfa Romeo, and Maserati — the Chrysler brand has become small today. It offers the 300 sedan and a minivan, with base trim levels sold as the Voyager and upper models called the Pacifica.
The 300 is in line with Chrysler’s heritage, a brashly styled full-size sedan with rear-wheel drive and an optional big “Hemi” V8 engine. And while the Voyager/Pacifica isn’t really a luxury car, its upscale styling and refined driving manners help distinguish it from competing vans — and from the Dodge Grand Caravan, an older-generation vehicle still on sale from Chrysler’s sister brand. The Pacifica also stands out as the only gas-electric hybrid minivan.
Each Chrysler product has its own trim levels, but from base to most premium, they include L, LX, Touring, Touring L, Touring L Plus, S, Limited, and C. The Chrysler 300C comes standard with the Hemi V8 engine, which is also optional on the 300S.
